Resolved: Firefox missing bookmarks / pinned icon issues – Tuesday 11 April

Summary

Impact to users and services affected: Following a recent Firefox upgrade a number of QMUL uses have reported that existing bookmarks have disappeared and/or Firefox icons pinned to the Taskbar may no longer work.

Bookmarks can be recovered by following the process at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update while pinned taskbar icons will need to be updated by right clicking and unpinning them, then launching Firefox from the start menu and pinning once again, however please do contact the IT Service Desk if you would prefer assistance.
