Active Directory to Entra ID Synchronisation Issue – Service Impact
There is an ongoing issue with the Active Directory to Entra ID synchronisation following a planned server migration from VMware to HCI. Only a fraction of the groups are currently syncing, despite no configuration changes. The issue has been escalated to the vendor at the highest priority, with technical teams working closely to resolve it. A failback option is available if forward fixes are unsuccessful.
A related impact is being seen on authentication services that rely on group data, such as access to certain systems. Temporary workarounds have been applied to restore access for key services, though some components, including parts of the T4 website, remain affected.
A full sync is planned overnight, expected to take 8–10 hours, with vendor support ongoing.
