Update @ Wednesday 1 June 15:30 Please be advised that the recent printer issues have now been resolved however if you do encoutner any further issues logging in (either via ID badge or username/password) or scanning/releaseing jobs then please contact the IT Service Desk confirming the printer ID and if you’re having issues touching in via your ID badge, manually logging in using your QMUL username/password or scanning/releasing print jobs. We apologise for any inconvenience during these issues.
Update @ Wednesday 1 June 11:00 We are still encountering intermittent issues when authenticating on a printer (either by card or usernbame/password). This has been escalated with our managed service print provider who are assisting with investigations and may have identified a potential work around. Please continue to raise any print issues with the service desk confirming the printer machine ID and any error messages.
Update @ Tuesday 31 May 16:30 We believe that this issue is now resolved following remedial work however are continuing to monitor the printing service. If you do encounter issues printing then please contact the service desk confirming the printer machine ID and any error messages (either on your device or the printer console).
Impact to users and services affected: There are currently issues preventing users from logging in to printers via their ID badge and subsequently releasing print jobs however some printers are currently still allowing manual login (i.e. by entering username and password).
We are currently investigating the issue and will provide further updates this afternooon (i.e. Tuesday 31 May) at 14:00.
