Maintenance Window: 9 hours, Saturday 16th October, 8am to 5pm
Impact to users and services affected: The main comms room within the Maths building, Mile End Campus will be undergoing electrical safety tests. The works are part of an ongoing maintenance and improvements programme. The testing is a legal requirement which must take place every 5 years.
We are not expecting any major outages, the core equipment is powered by two separate power sources. Each power source will be tested separately, with one source remaining on during the tests.
We would advise that anyone using IT services throughout the day from within the Maths building, should save their work frequently.
