Maintenance Duration: 10 hours, Saturday 23 October between 8 and 6pm
Impact to users and services affected: As part of ongoing electrical works to critical IT rooms, there will be a number of brief outages to local IT Services in the Queens’ Building.
Between 8.00am – 6.00pm on Saturday 23 October, the University’s electrical contractor Dennis Johns will be isolating, testing, validating and labelling mains circuits within one of the University’s critical comms rooms. All critical equipment will remain up during these works as our critical equipment has multiple power supplies connected to multiple circuits.
A number of small pieces of network equipment will be unavailable for a maximum of one hour during the day as these devices only have single power supplies. Individual Service Owners have been informed of expected impact to their service.
