On the morning of Saturday 29 July, testing and a failover of Ivanti (IT Service Desk and Estates Helpdesk) will be carried out, meaning that Ivanti will be unavailable between the hours of 9am and 12pm. After 12pm Ivanti should be fully available again.
How will this impact me?
Minimal impact is expected as out of hours (including weekends) the IT Service Desk is not reliant on Ivanti and is provided by Norman (our out of hours service for calls, email and live chat). If you require support from the Service Desk during the controlled failover please follow the standard out of hours process which you can find here.
Out of hours, Estates do not monitor the Helpdesk for requests. In the case of an emergency please follow the standard Estates emergency out of hours procedure which you can find here.
If you do email servicedesk@qmul.ac.uk / eaf-helpdesk@qmul.ac.uk during the controlled failover period the email will be queued and will be processed once the failover is complete.
