Summary

Impact to users and services affected: There will be two outages, one in Peter Landin and one in the ITL at different points. Peter Landin and associated services will be down from the 18^th to the 20^th July and the ITL services will be down from the 17^th to the 22nd July.

As we need to make sure we bring everything down gracefully and bring them back up our outage window for all EECS related IT services for each building will be the following: 

Peter Landin: 

16:00 on the 17^th of July – 12:00 on the 20^th of July 

ITL: 

16:00 on the 17^th of July – 12:00 on the 22^nd of July

Please note the following services will be out during this time from the 17^th to the 20^th: 

• Research Compute managed and unmanaged servers 
• VSL cluster 
• Network research group servers 
• EECS managed/unmanaged websites
• OpenVPN service
• Staff desktops within Peter Landin 
• Staff centralized storage 
• JupyterHub 
• rGate 
• Console level Kubernetes cluster 

The following services will be out during the 17^th to the 22^nd: 

• Student Compute Servers 
• Student centralized storage 
• ITL desktops 
• Hadoop Cluster
